Tours

Discover the hidden secrets of Kochi with a well respected tour guide. You will explore Kochi (Fort Cochin / Mattanchery) in an autorickshaw (tuk-tuk) with a local born driver from Kochi who will help you to learn more about the real life of the local people.

Kochi was the first European colony in India and there are nearly 30 different communities and 16 different languages in the area. You will experience some of them at sites such as Chinese fishing nets , St Francis Church, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Jain Temple, Dhobhi Khana (Local laundry), Ginger Warehouse(packing/drying of spices), and some womens cooperatives (Pappadam, candle, and incense making etc) to experience the life of the local people.

A private tour offers more flexibility and can be customised to your interests. Maheen is particularly conversant with the local Art scene as he has been involved with the world famous Kochi-Muziris Art Biennale of contemporary art since its inception in 2012.
